This weeks freshness:

Brockaflowersaurus-rex And The Blueberry Biscuits – Yams [NZ]
I’ve spent a weekend trying to work out what to say about this track but it really speaks for itself. Its hip-hop, its jazzy, its soulful, its got horns and stuff. I don’t even know, just give it a listen and decide for yourself!

Carb On Carb – Smash [NZ]
Auckalnders Carb on Carb have just come off another tour and release their new EP ‘Ladies Mile’. If you’ve seen them live then you’ll probably recognise this one, the usual catchy indie pop goodness from the two piece.

Deerhoof – Sexy, But Sparkly
Theres something endearingly cute about the vocalist of this Deerhoof, and with a track name this good its hard not to listen with a smile. This one hits with all the power and grace it can muster and leaves you more than satisfied.

Free N Losh – Where Do They Go
A cool remake of The Mills Brothers classic from these Toronto based producers gives you something to slip into a bath with. Warm feelings for sure.

Tommy Ill – Giraffe [NZ]
Another goodin from Tommys new album. This one samples Tame Impala’s “Feels Like We Only Go Backwards” and is the fun loving Tommy Ill we know and love.

Vampire Weekend – Unbelievers
VW’s new album dropped last week and looks like it is living up to all our hopes. This one is another catchy upbeat track about a love in the face of mortality and afterlife. Beautiful.
